Weigh in: week 1

Weight: 12st 3lbs

Loss: 2 lbs (Yay!) BigGrin

BMI: 27.49

Bust: 38in

Waist: 31.5in

Hips: 40.5in

I am really pleased with this result!

I don’t really feel like I’ve missed out food-wise this week as I’ve still had really nice meals and haven’t left myself feeling hungry. I even had a little bit of ice cream, which was a nice treat. Tongue

I really enjoyed doing the exercise this week, and I do feel better in myself for it. I think it has definately made me feel more up beat.

Well done you! ThumpUp

I started out at 12 st 5lbs Scared on 18 March (can't believe Jean used to call me skinny Lyn!!!) . I am 5'6" and my measurements were similar to yours with something like 35" for my waist. Three months down the line I've weighed in today at bang on 11st, a 19lb weight loss! That's round about 8/9 bags of sugar ... try picking those up and carting 'em about all day! BMI today 25.67, only just overweight!

It has got harder as time has gone on, and I haven't been able to exercise due to the heart problem, but I feel so much better without the extra pounds. It is very do-able so stick with it. You've made a great start!ThumpUp

Congratulations to the both of you!!!!

Fantomchick......2lb is really good, you've enjoyed what you've eaten and lost weight......that's the way to do it. I have over the years attended slimming clubs. I have seen people literally shrink before my eyes with big weight loses every week, only to see the months later with it all back on again, very sad. One or two pounds a week is a good steady weight loss, your not in a race, nice and easy does it and enjoy it!!!

Afraid since RA knocked on my door I have put on weight, keep saying I'm going to try to lose weight but the motivation seems to go away faster than the weight.

Lyn.......you've done very well to lose so much, especially whilst taking steroids. Well Done.

Keep it up girls.

Paula x

Just seen this. That is so encouraging. I need to tackle my weight again - having been 14 stone and got down to 12 st 5 - which I've been at for months - so maybe I shall try alongside use to get down. The exercise is my problem.. but I could walk like you have been and reinvestigate the wi fit - that I haven't used for 2 years!!!

Well done. How do you distract yourself away from the food cravings?

xx

Jean

Only try to loose weight when your 'head is in the right place', and I don't mean on your shouldersLOL .

If you can't give it 100% and you fail and give in, the next time you decide to give it another go you will be thinking to yourself, 'It didn't work last time, will it this time?. You will then be having negative thoughts before you even begin. I was told this once by the lady who ran a Slimming World group.

I'm sure that when I saw you at Coventry I told you that Karen had told me that she was doing 'A Secret Diet', well that was how she described it. Well she has now lost just over five pounds in five weeks and she has eaten what she wanted. She is so happy, says it's not like being on any diet she's ever been on before.

What is the secret?.................Paul McKenna's latest book and CD, for weight loss.

She thinks it's so good. I've read some of the book and agreed with just about everything he said. It does make interesting reading and if you keep to his simple rules (Karen says she does) you should loose weight.

And Jean you are not 'gross blob' you are a lovely caring lady. You've got what I call a 'Sunshine' Personality. You've got a wonderful husband, a lovely family, grandchildren who you love and they love you, even with your poorly bones. Lots of friends (cyber ones) and ones who can give you a real hug. I am sure that there is lots of women with drop dead gorgeous figures who would gladly change places with you.

Love Paula x
